We regularly accept college or high school student interns every spring, summer and fall semesters. Interns learn about writing, editing, photography, business development, and general magazine production.

Which of these work environment descriptions best describes you?

I work best independently. I like to know what is expected of me, and go attack the to-do list on my own, asking questions along the way via email or text.

I work best in a mix of independent and collaborative environments. I value team collaborations in-person, and then work some on my own time, too.

I work best in a group or in-person collaborative setting where I can discuss ideas, ask questions and complete my work alongside others during predetermined hours every week.

Technology Requirements

It helps if interns have their own computer, but this is not a requirement. We work on Macs utilizing these apps: Slack, Google Drive applications, and Adobe Creative Cloud products (InDesign, Photoshop and Lightroom.) We use Squarespace website platform. All interns must have a gmail account. Social media interns also must have a smart phone and be familiar with Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Interns may work with some or all of these technologies. Please indicate your experience with any of the technologies listed above. Describe any limitations or issues you might have with our technologies, and if applicable, please propose alternatives or workarounds.

Interns distribute the magazines to businesses and at special events. Do you have a car?

S+B reimburses interns for mileage.
