Gear Hub: Headsweats For The Holidays
There’s no doubt the holidays season will be a little different this year, but even with COVID-19 regulations and the need to be socially distant, the opportunity to work up a sweat doesn’t have to be far away.
The Spoke+Blossom team has been testing some great gear from Headsweats, and we’re excited to share the brand’s fun new releases along with their solid mission of sustainability.
The new REPREVE Cycling Jersey, made of seven recycled water bottles, is soft, durable, moisture-wicking and stretchy — designed to keep you comfortable, dry and nimble during your rides. This past fall, I tested this Cycling Jersey in the Cacti print on a road bike ride in Moab, Utah. Not only did I get some positive comments on the print when we paused in town (the little green cacti are so fun to sport on a jersey in the desert), I also found this jersey so comfortable, supportive and stretchy in all the right ways.
Another great option from Headsweats is the Eco Ultra Band, made from one plastic water bottle. It’s a multi-purpose performer for covering your face, ears or head; it’s quick drying, fully stretchy, moisture wicking and comes in more than 10 colorways.
Headsweats has also just released a 2020 limited edition Ugly Xmas line, featuring an extra spirited twist on their tried-and-true apparel, face coverings and headwear, which is all wonderfully breathable, lightweight and impressively sweat wicking. The line makes for perfect holiday 5k runs and as stocking stuffers for your active and lively family members.
The reversible Elite Face Mask is available in one of those Ugly Xmas prints — it’s made with performance, triple layered polyester that is breathable, moisture-wicking and water repellant, and comes in small sizes for petite faces as well as a range of other fun designs.
It’s been fun getting more and more acquainted with all the offerings from Headsweats. They make custom gear and apparel as well, which could be almost as delightful as a company holiday party this year.
